Naperville Sunrise Rotary Mentors Pilot Program:
Sunrise Rotary believes that mentor-ship is a process where somebody with experience in an area agrees to assist somebody with a desire to learn.  Mentors and mentees can be of any age or stage in life.  Perhaps a HS freshman wants to ask a senior about HS life and classes or a Senior Citizen wants to ask a younger person about social media.  The interest in mentoring can lead to a short term assistance or a lifelong friendship.   We also believe in the one hand up and one had down theory.  Where you might be a mentor in one area while asking for mentoring in another.
As a mentor you are agreeing to have at least one phone conversation with the potential mentee.  If either party is under 18 we suggest that the call or meeting be monitored by another adult.  (Preferably a parent or guardian).  From that initial phone call the group can make plans for any additional follow up.
Please consider completing either of both forms below.  Thank you for your interest and your service!
